The Minnesota Vikings have signed cornerback Lito Sheppard, but contract terms have not been released.
Sheppard was a quality player for the Eagles through the middle part of the decade before he was traded to the New York Jets.
He did not fit in well with new head coach Rex Ryan and was eventually released after last season.
The Vikings have some concerns in the secondary and can certainly use him to add more depth.
He has a history of making big plays and has been to two Pro Bowls and the playoffs six times.

With Brett Favre’s status still in limbo, the Minnesota Vikings could turn to quarterback Matt Hasselback.
Hasselback’s time in Seattle is likely coming to an end now that the team has a new head coach.
He has been injury prone in recent seasons, something that won’t change anytime soon with Seattle’s declining offensive line.
The Seahawks are very likely to select a quarterback in the first round of the NFL draft, making them more open to moving Hasselback.
A move would seem more likely to happen before the draft except for the fact that Minnesota is still unlikely to have a final decision from Favre by that time.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress said there is nothing to report on the Brett Favre front.
With the NFL Draft just a couple of weeks away, the Vikings would like to know where Favre stands.
That being said, Childress has made it clear that Favre does not have to rush a decision and that the team has confidence he will return.
Donovan McNabb was a potential option if Favre didn’t come back, but he has already been traded to the Washington Redskins.
The Vikings have put all of their eggs in the Favre basket at this point, so they had better hope he does return.
